Cookies
What cookies Digital Cloud Digital uses, why, and how you can manage them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help pages remember preferences or understand aggregate traffic. Related storage (such as localStorage) may hold your consent choice on this site.
How we use cookies
Digital Cloud Digital uses essential cookies and storage required for basic operation (including remembering your cookie choice). We use analytics cookies only if you Accept on the consent banner. Rejecting analytics does not block browsing, forms, or session enquiries.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
digital-cloud-digital-cookie-consent | Stores Accept or Reject choice for the banner | Until cleared (localStorage) | Digital Cloud Digital |
dcd_session | Maintains basic site integrity during a visit | Session | Digital Cloud Digital |
_dcd_analytics | Optional aggregate visit counts (paths, referrers) | 6 months | Digital Cloud Digital |
Essential items above are set as needed for the site to function. The analytics item is set only after Accept.
Managing cookies
Use the banner’s Accept or Reject controls on first visit. You can clear site data in your browser settings to reset the choice and see the banner again. You may also block cookies in your browser; essential features such as reading pages will still work, though preference memory may reset.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request can expose your IP to Google under their terms. We do not load third-party advertising cookies. Image hosts (for example Unsplash) may receive standard HTTP request data when images load.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting or blocking analytics cookies does not remove access to sessions information, contact forms, or legal pages. You may need to reselect cookie preferences after clearing storage.
