Field note
When a monthly check-in is worth the hour
Signals that your DeFi yield comparison sheet needs a refresh — fee votes, emission cliffs, and reward-token swings.
Not every portfolio needs a monthly revisit. Stable fee schedules and slow emissions can wait a quarter. Check-ins become useful when a governance vote changes fees, when an emission cliff is dated on a public roadmap, or when the reward token has moved enough to invalidate last month’s haircut row.
In Hong Kong we often schedule check-ins around the client’s own reporting cycle rather than our calendar. The goal is a refreshed dated sheet, not a standing subscription feel.
If nothing material changed, the session can be short — confirming stability is still a result. If something did change, we update only the affected rows and leave the rest intact so your paper trail stays coherent.
